If you’re all interested in Romantic Atmosphere, Colleen Hoover should be your first choice and you have entered the right forte to read about her heartbreaking novel – “IT ENDS WITH US”.
DEEP INTO THE PLOT
The story revolves around a strong and beautiful protagonist, Lily who finds her way to Boston after leaving her abusive family (abusive dad) and a homeless boy who she fell in love with in the past. The arrival of Ryle Kincaid, a brilliant, haughty and powerful character who portrays a well-determined neurosurgeon. Lily meets Ryle and with a slow pace, both of them fall in love and begin a relationship after all the trouble Lily had to face in her past.
(Lily feels secured, happy and satisfied about her life)
The reappearance of Atlas and her first conflict (more of a physical fight) with Ryle indicates Lily’s willpower to believe in her relationship. Lily tries hard to not compare Ryle and her father, who was fierce and abusive to her mother. Lily falls into a difficult situation where she has repeated brutal incidents with Ryle.
To go nowhere after her worst nightmare and a devastating fight with the person who she loved the most (Ryle), she had no other options, but to call Atlas, her childhood love and friend. Atlas is an amicable and loving person. After facing illimitable trouble with his personal life, Atlas respected, cared and helped Lily when she needed it the most. Atlas is who all the men must be like!!
The book has a poignant setting and compelling drama to accompany the emotional feelings of the characters.
SOMETHING TO KNOW
This novel opened a new perspective on why women endeavour to maintain their relationship with their husbands even after facing troubles mentally and physically. Personally, I always assumed physical abuse to be an act of crime (I still believe it) and thought that the women should leave them immediately to have a better environment to live for themselves and their children.
Unfortunately, Love and Freedom are not easy to acquire in life.
When you love someone extremely to its pinnacle, you forget they have hurt you so badly and then they try to recuperate their love with endless apologies and you hope that it can maintain your relationship with them.
From what I have seen, women don’t leave their husbands even after brutal and terrible fights because of the lack of money and self-confidence to live separately in a healthy environment.
TO REMEMBER ALWAYS
Domestic Abuse is threatening and a display of violent behaviour. No women must experience abuse at any cost! Even if your husband behaves responsibly to your child, he has no rights to damage you!
One of the main reasons I loved the book was because Colleen Hoover promoted awareness on Domestic Violence and was brutally honest about some facts in the book. I believe our society should report these cases to higher authorities and put an end to it.
We must raise awareness and support these women through their tough times!
This book describes the social issue in a way that can be remembered and highlighted as a true art of Fiction!
